The Little Yellow House

146 Beaverdam Road, Asheville, NC

A Few More Details

This little cottage was built in 1960 and I have owned it since 1996, and every tenant who has lived here has enjoyed it's unique charm.  Generally I think it's best for a single person simply because it is so small, but several couples have lived in it successfully.

Please have a look at the floor plan and notice the dimensions.   You will set up your own electric and cable internet accounts. You will pay the gas and the City of Asheville bills to me, since I keep those in my name and pay them online.  I will text them to you each month. (average gas bill $22.02/mo and average water bill $44.84/month in 2023).  If your bank is part of the Zelle network, I prefer rent and utility payments that way, or by automatic draft from your bank account. I will maintain the yard and anything exterior except that you will need to rake the autumn leaves off of the yard whenever needed.   The house has a vented natural gas wall furnace which is super efficient and economical. The older electric baseboard heaters are still functional as well.    The little yellow house is on Beaverdam Road, where there is a fair amount of traffic, especially morning and evening, but not so much at night since Beaverdam is a bedroom community.  The location is very convenient and walkable to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, banks - North Asheville is truly a preferred area!
